  • The Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed (Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency) and Stenvert also mention that the church was built halfway through the 15th century, with the tower being completed around 1500.

For the construction of the lower part of the tower, tufstone was used. For the middle part, layers of tufstone were alternated with layers of brick. The upper part of the middle part and the top part of the tower are made of brick.

  • Originally, the tower had a spire-like crowning. After this tower spire was lost during a storm in 1818, the tower received its current dome-shaped crowning.

Prior to the construction of the church, there was already a chapel on the site.

  1. Only part of the 15th-century church has been preserved. A part of the vaults were demolished at the beginning of the 18th century.
  2. The wing built alongside the church's south side dates back to 1937.

In 1971, both the church building and the tower were recognized as a national monument and registered in the monument register.

The church is currently used by the Protestant Community Brummen.
