History
De Abdijkerk: In Aduard is a former infirmary of the Abbey of Aduard, which was converted into a church building for the Nederduitse Gereformeerde Kerk (later Nederlandse Hervormde Kerk) in 1597, shortly after the reduction of Groningen. It is the oldest building with a medical function in the Netherlands and the only remaining building of the abbey.
The church is used for services by the Protestant Church in the Netherlands and cultural manifestations take place regularly. Guided tours are provided by the Kloostermuseum 'Sint Bernardushof' in Aduard.
