The Kerk van Holwierde
The "Kerk van Holwierde" (Church of Holwierde) is a beautiful church located in the municipality of Eemsdelta, in the province of Groningen, in the north of the Netherlands.
The current church building dates back to the 14th century, but there was a predecessor church on the same site dating from around 1200.
The church is a classic example of Dutch Renaissance architecture, with a rectangular shape and a tower at the west end.
The tower is particularly notable for its ornate clock face and weather vane.
The interior of the church features a beautifully decorated ceiling, as well as several historic monuments and artifacts.
