The church is situated at the southern edge of the village on a small square where a maypole is placed annually. It is not far from the intersection of roads, where the road through the Gulp valley from Gulpen to Teuven crosses the road from Sint-Martens-Voeren to Mechelen.

Approximately 40 meters from the church stands a little Mary chapel on the corner of Dorpsstraat, and another 100 meters further along is the St. Rochus Chapel.

The church is a national monument and is consecrated to Saint Remigius of Reims.
