- The current church was designed in neo-Gothic style by architect Johannes Kayser and built in 1884. It is a three-aisled cruciform church with a 14th-century rubble stone tower of three stages with an inset spire.
- The upper stage of the tower is decorated with a tripartite frieze and corner pilasters.
The present nave with ribbed vaults and side aisles dates from 1929-1930 and was designed by J.H.H. van Groenendael, who also had two side chapels built against the tower.
- The original church of the 15th century has three pairs of columns with ornate capitals.
On May 15, 2004, part of the tower collapsed due to a fierce fire, resulting in the loss of the old tower stonework. The church was restored from 2005-2006, during which the crypt was also renovated, where the remains of Herman van Bronckhorst-Batenburg are buried among others.
