The Sint-Gummaruskerk
The Sint-Gummaruskerk is a Roman Catholic three-aisled neo-gothic cruciform church located on Dorpsstraat 56-58 in Wagenberg, North Brabant province, Netherlands.
The church has a predecessor: In 1796 permission was given to build Een Kerk and Pastorij for the exercise of the Roman Catholic faith. It was a simple rectangular building that received a tower in 1816. A pastorie was added in 1856. The architect was P.J. Soffers.
The current church was designed by Petrus Johannes van Genk. It was built between 1903 and 1904 and taken into use in 1904. The church has a 67-meter-high church tower with spire. It is a national monument.
In the neo-gothic interior, one finds among other things the Mary Chapel and the Barbara Chapel. There are various altars and statues. Also, there are stained glass windows.
