1. The building was constructed in 1925/1926, after a tender process in June 1925, to the design of architect F.B. Jantzen, in the style of the Amsterdamse School.

This is one of the first buildings designed by architect Ferdinand B. Jantzen (1895-1987), who also resided in this building on number 152.

In 2013, the building received the status of municipal monument.
