De Duif (Dove) Church was built in the 17th century as a Protestant church for the Dutch Reformed congregation in the Jordaan neighborhood of Amsterdam. The church was designed by architect Philips Vingboons and constructed between 1637 and 1642.

Over time, the church became affiliated with the Remonstrant denomination.
