The Sint-Bonifatiuskerk
Officially known as the Church of Saint Boniface, this church is located on Rechtestraat 164 in De Rijp, Netherlands, in the province of North Holland.
The church is situated in the municipality of Alkmaar, a larger city located just north of De Rijp.
- The church was built between 1860 and 1863 by architects Johannes van Straaten and Wilhelmus Jacobus Johannes Offenberg, who designed it in a neo-Gothic style.
- The one-nave church features a polyhedral closed choir. It replaced a barn church that was built in 1804.
A bell from elsewhere hangs in the tower, which was cast in 1667 by Pieter Hemony, a clockmaker.
- Inside the church, much work can be found that was created in the Cuypers-Stoltzenberg studio, including the main altar, pulpit, organ case, and Stations of the Cross.
The stained-glass windows were designed by glass artist Lou Asperslagh and Nicolas atelier from Roermond.
The Sint-Bonifatiuskerk is recognized as a national monument (rijksmonument).
