The Nicolaaskerk in Wesepe is a 14th-century Gothic hall church. The church was first mentioned in 1348 and belonged to the parish of Wijhe until 1371. Since then, Wesepe has been an independent parish.

The bell tower contains two bells. The oldest dates back to 1502, while the youngest, cast by Deventer bellfounder Gerhard Schimmel, dates back to 1699. It was restored in 2016. Restorations of the church itself took place in 1938 (choir), 1950/51 (rest of the church), and 2003/04 (roof).

The church has been used by the Protestant Community Wesepe, part of the PKN, since its early days as a Reformed church.
