Maranathakerk

Maranathakerk is a church located in Enschede, Netherlands. The Maranatha Church was founded in 1974 by Pastor J.A. den Hartog and a group of Christians who wanted to start a new church that would be characterized by community, simplicity, and flexibility.

The name "Maranatha" comes from the Aramaic phrase "Marana tha", which means "Come, Lord Jesus". The first service was held in a small hall on March 24, 1974, with about 50 people present. From then on, the church grew rapidly, and soon it became necessary to find a larger venue for services.
