De Pieterskerk is een laatgotische kerk in de Nederlandse stad Leiden. Van oudsher is het de hoofdkerk van die stad. Aan de patroonheilige, Sint-Pieter, tot wie Jezus in het Evangelie volgens Matteüs zegt « Ik zal u de sleutels geven van het Koninkrijk der hemelen (...) » heeft de stad haar wapen te danken, alsmede haar bijnaam Sleutelstad.

In 1121 werd een kapel voor de graven van Holland gewijd aan de heiligen Petrus en Paulus. In haar huidige vorm kwam de Pieterskerk gedurende ongeveer 180 jaar vanaf 1390 tot stand.
