The Sint-Agathakerk (St. Agatha's Church)

The church was built between 1902-1903 by architect Jean van Groenendael, who also designed the adjacent Sint-Agathagesticht. The construction cost fl.36051,-. In 1929, the top part of the tower was replaced with a new spire designed by Jos Cuypers.
The church features stunning stained-glass windows installed in 1908 from the atelier F. Nicolas en Zonen in Roermond. The altars were created by sculptor J.P. Maas. The crucifixion scenes were painted by Jan Dunselman, while his brother Kees Dunselman designed the mural paintings.
The organ was built in 1913 by Joseph Adema and is situated within a neo-gothic casing designed by F.W. Mengelberg. Today, the Sint-Agathakerk continues to be used by the parochie Sint-Willibrordus. The church building and its adjacent pastorie are both listed on the Rijksmonumentenlijst.
