The Rehobothkerk

The Rehobothkerk is a Protestant church located at Lijtweg 3, 2341 HA Oegstgeest, Netherlands. The church's name "Rehoboth" means "God has opened wide" in Hebrew, indicating its connection to God and the community it serves.

As a Protestant church, Rehobothkerk serves as a place for worship and community gathering. It is affiliated with the Nederlandse Gereformeerde Kerken (NGK), which is a Dutch Reformed denomination.

The church's original building was once a school. In 1993, the building was adapted to its current function as a godshuis (church building) by architect A. Munneke in Warmond. The gereformeerd-vrijgemaakte gemeente (reformed-free community) in Oegstgeest, which has existed since 1950, had previously lacked an own building and thus used this adapted school building.

The church counts approximately 220 members as of 2013. In 2023, the church's denominational affiliation changed to the Nederlandse Gereformeerde Kerken (NGK).

  • Rehobothkerk has been in possession of a one-manual organ with seven registers and an attached pedal since 2006.
  • The organ was originally built by orgelbouwersfirma K.B. Blank & Zn. in Herwijnen in 1973
  • and was previously housed in the Verzoeningskerk (Church of Reconciliation) in Rijswijk ZH until 2004, when it was closed.
