Maria Presentatiekerk

The Maria Presentatiekerk was built between 1927 and 1930 by architect J. W. Staal.

The church is dedicated to the Presentation of Mary, a Catholic feast day that commemorates the presentation of Jesus at the Temple in Jerusalem.

Maria Presentatieparochie

The Maria Presentatieparochie was established in 1950. Until a permanent church building was available, a small temporary church was set up.

1. Construction: Construction on the new church began on August 8, 1950, and it was consecrated on May 22, 1951.
2. Architect: H.P.J. de Vries from Rotterdam.

A small Mary chapel was added to the church in 2006.

The church continues to be used by the parish Emanuel.
