Sint-Henricuskerk

The church is located at 's-Gravenstraat 167, 4567 AD Clinge, Netherlands.

The church serves as the parish church of Clinge.

The church was built in 1876 and designed by P. Soffers.

  • In 1875, the parish of Clinge was established after the village separated from De Klinge in 1830, which subsequently became part of Belgium.
  • The church is a brick basilica in neo-Romanesque style.

The foretower has four stories:

  1. The lower two are square-shaped,
  2. while the upper two are octagonal and topped with an octagonal spire.
  3. The lowered choir is three-sided.

The organ was built in 1763 by Detlef Onderhorst and originally belonged to the church of Standdaarbuiten.

It was restored in 1970.

Sint-Henricuskerk has been classified as a national monument since 1998.

The parish house (1875), a mortuary on the cemetery (1875), and the remnants of an English landscape garden nearby the pastor's garden (first half of the 19th century) have also received this classification.
